OC-T: Toivo's profile

Whoa, I made it in time! I don't know how, but I managed to keep my sickness in check before I finished this. 

Anyway, this is the 2nd task for  

Who is Toivo Nevalainen?

Toivo is a D.Gray-man OC, a scientist in the Black Order. His mother is an exorcist, Aino Nevalainen, who was my OC for the 4th round of OC Training. His father is/was of Asian origin (I don't want to specify because there are currently two versions I'm working with, but he's either Japanse or Chinese). 

The reason why he joined the Black Order is to assist his mother, even though she discouraged him from it. His mother has an anti-demon weapon in her eyes which is of parasitic type. Because of that, her lifespan is decreasing quite rapidly. That is why Toivo began obsessing over the idea that he would become a scinetist and figure out a way to prolong his mother's life. Aino herself thinks that he should focus on his own life and not waste time (she doesn't believe that helping her is possible), but he is determined to keep trying. 

Toivo is a very dedicated and persistent individual. He is obsessive about his research and would go to great lengths to succeed. His mindset is not exactly healthy; he is self-destructive due to his workaholism and rarely pays attention to anything beyond experiments. Because he grew up in the Black Order where people went missing or died on daily basis (the Order was and still is at war with demons), he was terrified that he would lose his mother as well. He started hiding the fear because he didn't want to cause her trouble, but that led to him becoming emotionally distant. Currently he is unwilling to share his feelings and even acts indifferently towards Aino, despite doing everything in his power to succeed and help her. He is very smart and talented (thanks to that he became a scientist in the Order very early), but his emotional growth is stunted and is unlikely to develop unless his situation somehow changes or someone manages to break down his defenses.

And I'm really sorry, I have no idea where I got the notebook file I used as a base. I tried to find it, but it was sitting in my computer for so long not even Google was able to help me :-/ If I find the source, I will definitely update the description.
